I tried this along with the Italian Roast as I like bold, strong coffee. The Cowboy Blend is slightly less bold than the Italian Roast. It's a dark coffee with a balanced taste that has no bitterness at all. I had guests over and one of them drank five cups. He could not get enough. I don't know how he did that!
